About
c4ed is a daily stick-figure comic about AI. One new strip every day, about something that actually happened.
Each comic is generated by Claude from that day's Hacker News stories about AI. Claude writes a few candidate scripts as structured panel descriptions (who stands where, who says what), a second pass picks the funniest, and our own renderer draws it in the house stick-figure style. Nobody hand-draws these, and no image model is involved. The story that inspired each strip is linked under it.
The jokes punch at hype, benchmarks, and absurdity, not at people. Real, named people are never drawn or quoted. Hover over a comic (or tap "alt text") for a bonus joke.
The cast
- Ada, ML researcher. Tired, precise. Glasses, ponytail.
- Max, founder. Relentlessly hyped. Hoodie, usually holding a phone.
- Pat, senior engineer. The skeptic. Coffee mug, flat hair.
- Kim, a normal person. Just trying to use the thing.
- The model, the AI. Earnest, overly literal. Square head, antenna, a blinking cursor for a mouth.
- Model 2, a rival AI. Two antennas. Competitive.
- Tok, the mascot. A small hexagonal token with legs. Deadpan. Usually has the last word.
